“Aviación Argentina” group
The Argentine Aviation group is basically a mailing list dealing with a variety of subjects, yet mainly concentrated in Argentine and South American military aviation affairs. Born as the Pista 18 Users Group (GUP18) the forum is receptive to conversations about other topics ranging from plastic modelling and aircraft photography to aviation-related political and economical affairs. GAA has a festive and highly social spirit which leads to frequent group meetings and coordinated attendances to aviation events in their region. Largely populated by Argentine members (200+ subscribers), the group communicates basically in Spanish but has demonstrated its ability to do so in English and Portuguese. The World Commercial Aviation group is essentially a mailing list catering for those interested in civil and commercial air transport, both cargo and passenger, from Argentina and the globe. One of the group’s distinguishing features are its regular (bi- or tri-monthly) dinner gatherings in Buenos Aires.
